An homage to Italian creativity and ingenuity, the Whitney Bag came about as the result of the unprecedented partnership between the Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Max Mara. 
April 2015: The Whitney Bag, created in collaboration with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, was launched at the opening of the new Whitney Museum of American Art building in the Meatpacking District of New York. The Whitney Bag is part of the permanent collection of the New York Fashion Institute of Technology museum. Purity of design meets technical excellence.

A limited edition of 125 pieces to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the iconic Whitney Bag.

 

The Whitney Bag was born in April 2015 on the occasion of the opening of the new headquarters of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop.

 

“Aesthetics” and “technique” are the fundamental concepts of this bag, which is directly inspired by the façade and proportions of the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
